Day 13: a morning show then on to Sussex, NB
We began our morning with a performance at Grand Manan Consolidated School for primary/junior grades and students from White Head Elementary School took the ferry over to attend as well. A wonderful audience and teachers and some high school students took some great pictures of our show.
Afterwards, we scooted to the ferry just in time to catch the 11:30 a.m. boat back to mainland New Brunswick. We were sorry to leave Grand Manan after a wonderful few days there. Maybe next visit we’ll get a bit of sunshine? Or maybe we won’t but we’ll sure go back there again!
The water was calm for our 1 1/2 hour ferry ride but alas, not a whale or dolphin in sight for us today.
After a brief stop for a Mexican lunch in St. John (non-seafood for a change), we headed to Sussex, NB for our overnight stay before we finish up tomorrow with our two final performances of our Maritimes tour.
It’s now time to head out for a short pre-dinner run and see what’s to see in foggy (but warm) downtown Sussex…….
