The day began with 3 hours of grant writing and then on to perform 2 shows at Hammonds Plains CS (one of our biggest school audiences of almost 600 students!) and then a scurry closer to downtown Halifax to perform at Springvale ES.

Afterwards we toured downtown Halifax around the Citadel and a stroll along the harbour where we boarded the H.M.C.S. Sackville for a short tour.  We stopped in to visit the Halifax Folklore Centre; their 40th Anniverary this year.  Arthur’s Ottawa Folklore Centre is celebrating 35 years in November.  After a  patio visit in the lovely sunshine with a CFMA friend, we then proceeded to have one of the best seafood dinners we’ve ever had at a small restaurant, Phil’s Place.
